Rape culture and domestic violence are huge problems in Africa. However, it’s also a large problem in India, Brazil, Germany, Serbia, Saudi Arabai, South Korea, etc. And yet I see only African and black women pathologizing their men as being inherently abusive. It’s frustrating for the women living in fear and the so called “good” men who don’t beat women to have this dialogue where some minimize and some pathologize. Overall, I hear you tho.
Also you only pulled up one example of black men being so unbearable, that black women had to avoid them. Most interactions between bw and bm are not that crazy. Do bm need to do better? Yes. Do we need to empathize more with y’all? Yes. Do bm have a lot to answer for? Yes. However it’s a two way street. Black women have written and created literature, films, music and art that paints black men as ne’er do well misogynists who can never get it right. Very little of it is warranted tbh.
