I was looking through r/blackladies :snoop: .... I knew this Sudanese breh that was purple Black, made Lance Gross look like Michael Ealy but he never seemed to c00n or Divest. Nikka didn't display any signs of self hate. Even Akon, Bill Duke, T-Pain, you don't see them even mention colorism as much compared to even brown skinned Black women.

Is it the beauty industry?
Is it light skinned women?
Is it Celebrities?

:jbhmm:

Because ain't no nikka turning down this, unless he a stone cold fakkit...

Accusing Colorism is turning into a scapegoat to justify dating CACs...

All beautiful women but they now can claim colorism to justify dating Brad. They ALWAYS wanted Brad.

No, 99% of colorism for black women comes to desirability. They care about who wants them. which puts them in competition with other women.

there’s no real male beauty standard, there is, but often other things can supersede how you look as a man.

A handsome nikka and a ugly nikka could get the same girl depending on many variables

Colorism for Black men comes down to seeing us a hyper violent, harsher prison sentencing etc

for black women it’s just about how beautiful the world thinks they are

im ngl tho if i was a dark skin woman living under this beauty standard i would have a hard time too

You have to be extra bad if you're a dark skin woman , compare to a light bright.
Or just dress well. Black people in general do really well with high contrast light colors; but they work even better on dark skinned black women.

If you analyze the wardrobe of the ones complaining, They rarely take advantage of this facet. In fact, look at @Busted_Toes post All three of the women he posted are in bright white clothing. The effect you would get from each of them, would be dramatically different if they wore gray clothing, brown clothing, beige, black clothing, etc.Beyond the color white; bright blues, Yellows, oranges, etc work too.

It's about playing to your strengths and working with your body type. It's kind of the same way an endomorph should embrace vertical stripes and avoid horizontal stripes in clothing. Or the exact opposite for ectomorphs.

You'd be surprised that a lot of women don't actually know this. The same way there are a lot of women who've never actually had a professional optimize their makeup. below is an example of what I mean. It's the exact same woman but notice how different the vibe you get from her is based on the contrast of the clothing

In a lot of cases, dark skinned women are shooting themselves in the foot by seeing the left article of clothing on a light skinned woman and automatically thinking the same outfit would look just as good on them. :francis:

Any black person who still doing the colorism thing in 20-fukking-25 is a fool and a disgrace, apart from being a clown and pathetic. And while you talking about the black women on Reddit talking about it, there are clowns on this very website that still doing that shyt too. :smh:

My wife clued me in on this. She wares colors that work very well with her dark skin tone, and people literally walk up to her and tell her how great the colors look on her.

So I am just here to show my agreement with what you posted above.
