Think my problem with it is giving up power and control. I don't want to live in a world where we can only say and do or have beliefs what that "they" say is acceptable or else you're silenced. The only problem I have with your notion is that it's a bit disingenuous to cancel something these days that you helped cheer on and promote years ago. It's why I have an issue with the media doing certain stories about "cancel culture" because they played a part in what transpired as well. You can even add the Trump situation to that example as well.

A lot of people would rather have revisionist history about the part that they played than accept any blame and responsibility for said actions.

This is why Black folks don't fukk with the mainstream media, "Liberal" or otherwise as much. Especially younger Black folks.

Black folks been a victim of cancel culture before "cancel culture" officially became cancel culture. Black folks need to stop being on liberals or conservatives side. We need to be on our own motherfukking side.
