at the whole "I'm dark, I get girls fine bruh" shyt

It's not about that Nikka, I rarely if ever get turned down because of my skin color, but the females I talk to about it tend to shy away from liking them chocolate brothas in general

Not to derail but this got me thinking....


Anyone notice that when a brotha (regardless of complexion) say he likes light skinned and redbone ******* people want to act like the world is ending and call him a koon

But if a chick states her preference it's just

As a dark skin breh. I always received love from the light-skin guhs. I think this is how it is for most dark skin brehs.

I remember walking to lunch and for like a week straight this cute lite skin chick would walk by with her group of friends and always stop & comment on how cute the young gawd was. Once she even stopped and poked me in my bird ass chest once and said it "Hes is sooo cute". Shidddd, had a young nikka like

Meanwhile the only dark skin friend would be on the sideline hating like a city cop while her friends were cooing me and shyt.

There you go. In terms of black women, it's the dark skin girls that typically shy away from dark nikkas

On the contrary, I work all over the State and encounter all kinds of people on a daily basis. I don't know what you're talking about. If females are giving you the cold shoulder and telling you it's because you're 'too dark', it ain't your skin color that's a problem.

The 'cold shoulder' was a general comment directed at all the dudes in here lamenting their overabundance of melanin. That 'too dark' line is an excuse females use when they aren't feeling a dude like that.

'Dark Skin' vs. 'Light Skin' hasn't been valid since Al B. Sure was on regular rotation on the radio/MTV.

Younger girls tend to go for the more "pretty boy" types with feminine features...lighter skin being one of them.

Grown women on the other hand like more "masculine" features, and we all know the tale when it comes to masculinity and dark skin.
