I find darker skinned cats usually have the advantage with yellabones. lighter skinned cats have an advantage with the darker skinned females.

A lot of it really fluctuates with the media. In the 90s, dark skinned cats were promoted as 'hard', 'thugged out', or whatever and lightskinned cats were perceived to be soft and more feminine. That's when you had all that 'i love chocolate' talk from women. in the 80s, light skinned cats were put on due to el debarge, prince and them kind of negroes.

Why, even amongst black people, do we prefer lighter skin colors in general?

Would you pick the attractive light skinned person or the attractive dark skinned person?

In that case,it would have to come down to other qualities and not skin..Honestly,when I'm out & about,attractive guys catch my eye.I look at light skin dudes, dark skin dudes, white dudes(if I think he has flavor),etc.If you are attractive you will catch my eye.I actually feel sorry for people who are so hooked on skin.They are seriously missing out.There is a lot of beautiful menz out there.

Think about it if a woman thinks dark skin is ugly most likely any guy that has it is going to be ugly to her even if he is not ugly to most women.

I prefer dark-skinned females, but the last woman I was with was as light as the second Aunt Vivian on Fresh Prince.
