PayPal will just keep trying to get the money from you then turn it over to collections if they got your social. If they don't then the account gets closed and that's it. since the other person got their money back I'm not sure they would care anymore.

I'm assuming this friend is really yourself :sas2:

like any big chain store, i'm sure paypal has $ set aside to account for fraud. they'll do their due diligence via some minimum wage person who could really care less, but if your paper trail isn't blatant then it's pretty much over. no feds is gonna be on the hunt for 10k.
i will point out that you are screwing over another person in the process. yes, they'll probably get their money back, but take christmas for example. mom is gonna buy a laptop for little billy with her budgeted christmas money and then have nothing to show for it til like late january :mjcry:

Karma? :pachaha:

If Karma exists, explain how slavery lasted for 400 years. Explain how Darren Wilson received a Mil in donation money and got off for cold blooded murder.

@ben anderson Yeah, you gave steps but that wouldn't work because Paypal puts a 21 day hold on your funds and even if they didn't put a hold on the funds, there would be no way to release the funds before the buyer reported you.

Also, if you create a new ebay, they limit your account if you sell too fast.

I'm interested to know how Paypal differentiates two people with the same name. How do they know your not some other dude with the same name?

Why would the banks be looking for you? You don't owe the banks, you owe Paypal. If Paypal tries to charge, and overdraft your account, the bank will just reverse it. It's happened to me.

lol sounds reasonable. But I've seen too many cats eat off this shyt and still nothing happened, all in the 2-5k range though.

I dont think the banks would take 11 racks lightly. Just saying. Paypal will take it in stride and refund the buyers money but who is to say the banks dont look into it. Why take that risk. And I know that lots of folks get over on ebay but they make a dedicated effort of it. They using different laptops with different IP addresses from jump street. It sounds to me like your homeboy just had a regular ebay account for years and then decided to do this shyt on a whim. If the account is in his name and linked to his address I would say its stupid. It'll probably work in the end but with hot shyt like that I like to air on the side of caution. It only takes one time to get caught. And fukk what these people saying about the Feds only getting involved in shyt 300K and up. I've got homeboys in the the USP right now for tax fraud amounts a lot less than 300K, even had the secret service come to my door looking for my one of my patnas who was claiming false fuel credits on shelf companies in amounts just ranging from 15-35K.
