Honestly, no. If you didn't have a PS4 already but had the 4K TV already available, then it's a worthy investment, but you're honestly not missing all that much in my opinion. At least not yet. The PS4 can run games perfectly fine, and no game that'll be out for retail is going to be a situation where the Pro laps the OG version (at least, we can only hope), so you're more or less in the clear. Buying the Pro is more or less covering your bases and usually something you'd consider if you don't own a PS4 already or have the money to go upgrade, but it's really not necessary.

it only seems to get worse because of console gaming as they are 'locked' to one hard ware. also, devs have to port the games from the PC to console and that does not end out well. again, it all depends on the companies. i have seen games that are off the hook on some of these consoles. but yeah, PC gaming is superior but it sucks when it comes to certain games only being able to be played on the console itself.

Just bought this PS4 slim/uncharted bundle and Samsung ku6300 4kTV off of Craigslist for 400 together brand new. Couldn't pass that up.

This shyt looks ...was about to cry. Im coming from a 1080p with ps3 and 360. Im usually never home to watch TV or game so I never bothered upgrading. FakeDR aint to bad on this 200 dollar Samsung 4ktv.

I'm not in a rush to be on the next generation, but that's what their pushing for right now. They just had the pro released last year and xbox scorpio being released this year so you already looking at another 4 years, so why not 6-10 years?

On the plus side of things games looked and worked more better in the later years of each console cycle with developers doing better with the their software, engines, and the console hardware.

On the bad side of faster cycles, the pro and scorpio's release is proof of going faster for PC already.
