We are not winning that game with even prime Jimmy G as the QB.

Brock elevates Shanny's system. Was he perfect, no

But Brock has unique strengths that few QBs have.

-He has elite pocket presence. He consistently makes throws under pressure. He has the highest complete passes when blitzed.

-He learned to use his legs more. He can see the seams in a defense and he doesn't hesitate to take off when he sees an opening. He can go from a pass to a scramble in a split second.

-He assesses reads pre-snap, he is a computer in that sense.

-He spreads the ball around and can look receivers open with his eyes.

-He can layer passes within 30 yards consistently.

Just to be fair

Weaknesses

-He is gunslinger and sometimes gets greedy. There are times he should throw the ball away or take the check down.

-He has better arm strength than people say BUT if he throws off his back foot or off balance his passes will flutter.

-He has a small frame and can get hurt if he takes a big hit.

-He is more.quick than fast so he can't do a lot of 40 or 50 yard runs and faster players can catch up to him

Brock is a top 8 QB at worst imo

Yes it does matter. When the QB is getting paid that much there isn’t as much money to spend elsewhere.

Brocks contract in particular is front loaded and even then the voiding of Aiyuks contract saves us a bunch of money moving forward. This team is made up of draft picks and high character utility players. We paid all our big names already. Most of the team is young and we have I believe 11 draft picks this draft and 50 million in cap space we're fine.

This ain't the NBA :mjlol: When will you realize this? He gave his defense the lead in OT. He wasn't involved in the loss. It's a team sport.

Also, who got criticized for less? :jbhmm:

:what: what kind of backwards shyt is this, cats were just complaining that Stafford is not a hall of fame lock even though he has the stats AND a superbowl win.

If that's the case make another Brock

Trey Lance should be a top QB then

The Shanahan/Kubiak School have always been plug and play. That tree has never really successfully developed a QB where they had to mold and curate and offense around that guys skill set. They just plug in guys who can execute the system at a high level. There was a reason Mike Shanahan preferred Cousins over RG3. I also call Purdy Cousins 2.0. Not a knock but that's what it is.

Trey was Kyle's shot to really do that and it didn't work for a variety of reasons. But that offense could never work with getting the best out of Cam, Josh Allen, Hurts. Hell even Mahomes would've been a bust of he was drafted by Shanahan.
