Yes but no. What it is most of the time is that producers be apart of a production team for the next producer. And then if they're able to finesse their own thing out of it, then its straight.

just blaze = bink :skip:
People joke about spitting coffee out, but that actually almost made me do it.

Man, it seemed like 9th Wonder tried to help Khrysis get on, and then in 2010 he started The Soul Council, which was a group of producers for his record label. It was 9th Wonder, Khrysis, E. Jones, Eric G, AMP, Fatin, and Kash. Nottz just got added to the line up in 2014, but he's well established already and if anything he'll help out the rest of the Soul Council.

They're all at various levels of "on" but 9th maybe gave it the best effort I've seen.

Dilla and Madlib seemed to help each other out a bit.

Alchemist tried to put on Sebb (who is super dope but still unknown) by having him produce a few of his beats and would feature his production on his solo work. Alchemist himself was put on by DJ Muggs and rumor is Alc produced some of Temples of Boom on the low.

I would argue that Q-Tip helped put Havoc on.

DJ Khalil helped put Rahki on a bit.

No ID put on Kanye, and maybe D Dot did too with the ghost production from Kanye.

I can't think of a ton of examples though.

Well don't know about "putting on" but Rza opened up spots on albums for 4th, True Master and them, didn't translate to many tracks outside the Wu though
Sometimes I wonder if that was by choice though? I was reading an interview with Havoc in the mid 00's around the time he did Why for Jadakiss and started doing beats for Shady/Aftermath/G-Unit and they asked him about being underrated, and he said he just never felt like doing much outside of Mobb Deep/Infamous Mobb/Noyd/etc. and that he thought he'd be less underrated if he had produced outside of the camp earlier.

With his older beats he basically just worked outside of the crew with Biggie, CNN, Nas, Cormega, and Foxy Brown right? I can't think of anyone else.

Your talking about Havoc right? Regarding the Wu producers, well I think maybe the wu-sound was too particular for them expand maybe, don't know for sure...Rza himself didn't do tons of tracks outside the Wu-Camp, Cypress Hill, Ras Kass, Pun, Biggie...can't think of that many other tracks during his prime that were outside the Wu camp

I did mean Havoc, my bad. But yeah I guess I didn't think about that with RZA either. I remember when I read the liner notes and found out he did that joint with Pun, Deck, and Prodigy on Capital Punishment. That was a surprise. I was surprised he did Long Kiss Goodnight on Life After Death too, especially since Rae and Ghost had some tension with Big.

Man, when I first found out that True Master did Brooklyn Zoo and Fish, and not RZA?

:mindblown:

And 4th Disciple did B.I.B.L.E. right? I honestly don't know much about True Master or 4th. is there a general consensus among Wu fans as to who's better of those 2?

Dr Dre.. Scott Storch
Puffy... Hitmen
Is the Hitmen just Sean C and LV?
