Do stepfather situations ever work out?

Just read that story in Atl. Sad situation but seems that everyone who has a step pops has fought his ass.

I only know a couple of my boys that respect their stepfathers.

There's plenty of stepdads in the hood that look out for the kids too but they usually come into their lives when the kids are young. All older kids see is a dude piping they mom with the face so of course they give them the permanent faces

I think that this topic is one where generalizations isn't applicable. It is on a case by case basis.

For every step father who was an a$$hole towards his step kids, the same amount could be said about step fathers who do right by their step kids.

It really depends on when the step father came into the kids lives, who the kid's mother is, her age and maturity level, their economic status, etc.

But, if generalization is brought into the equation, then perhaps it could be said that typically step parents treat step children differently than biological children. It may be rare that step parents treat all kids equally.

Case by case

step dads in some cases are men who dont take care of they own kids but took care of someone else kids.

The legit step dads i guess shaq dad russel wilsons etc i suppose them and they kids get along well and have a legit respect for one another when they get older.


Its case by case basis its also step dads who treat they real kids better than they step kids and step kids resent that.

It depends the situation there are some step parents and kids who have always had a good relationship

thing is a lot of step fathers come into these situations where they aren't family/fathered minded and that's where confrontation and hostility festers.
