I replied to you because you made an affirmation claiming that most tv shows benefit BW, so I asked you the question first but you are refusing to answer but expect me to answer a question that you asked. So why would I answer you if you are not offering me the same decency:jbhmm:

Btw I didn’t demand I asked you have to option to answer or ignore or in this case respond with a question and I will choose not to reply until I have been responded to.

The kirk to the fields
Co-sign until the latest season.

The latest season of Greenleaf was pure trash.

A lot of forced and out of place storylines.

And isn't the head writer for Greenleaf a CAC?
Not sure if it's a cac but I wouldn't be surprised.

You're right about the latest season. It definitely isn't the strongest. I especially hated the long lost son storyline with Grace.

BUT they somehow increased the fukkery. I didn't think it was possible.

I'm talking about the people who write and direct the episodes dummy

All black writers and they just had 1 white woman who directed 2 episodes (which happened to be the worst episodes)

Most of the episodes are directed by an Asian man....stop it

The majority of "black shows" were on new networks. FOX, UPN, WB. Fresh Prince, Cosby, Diffrent World were on NBC. Family Matters on ABC but that was a spinoff of Perfect Strangers and was only successful because of that "c00n" Urkel.

She right.

Martin, wayans bros, jamie Foxx show, fresh prince were unapologetically black without trying to cater to a non black audience.

A lot of what made 90s black television so memorable was the fact that we really bought in to our culture & everything felt in house.

I go back to watch a lot of those shows & it's like a lot of the same black actors would be working with each other on different sitcom shows.

As time went on black television have gotten whitewashed & inclusive.

Same with movies, which I peeped years ago....:yeshrug:

You won't get a New Jack City anymore. You'll get a Brooklyn's Finest, Training Day, or Street Kings.

Movies made by white Hollywood, with hood elements. These can't be all the way "hood" movies with, a Ethan Hawke, Richard Gere, or Keanu Reeves involved. They make whites, comfortable enough to participate in seeing the movie.:mjpls:

If you take Ethan Hawke out of Training Day, it could pass for black cinema.

A lot of 90 shows were memorable because we were young and impressionable and not used to seeing a abundance of black people on tv. Cut the bullshyt. Fresh Prince was funny but it was hardly a realistic represntation of being "black". The majority of us never lived in a mansion or went to private prep schools.

Judd Nelson was in New Jack City guess it's not "hood" either.
