She’s right but it’s because the creators of these shows either found out they were black in college, or didn’t grow up around black people. Their blackness comes directly from social media.

The 90s featured authentic black experiences because they were written and created by authentic black people. They were outside. These new blacks were not.

Fresh Prince was funny but it was hardly a realistic represntation of being "black". The majority of us never lived in a mansion or went to private prep schools.
