Facts. The chimney starter makes starting your flame so easy, and allows you to pour your coals exactly where you want them.
It's definitely a grillin' essential!

They both have their place. Wood/charcoal for long cooking, propane when I want to carefully regulate tenperature and heat distribution.

Charcoal. Preferably white quebracho lumpwood if you can get it. Even under the smoker. Briquettes only if you have nothing else available but fiending.
