not necessarily specifically blockbuster, I just miss the pleasure of going to a video store when I was a kid. As soon as friday came and moms was off work I was immediately begging her to take me to rent a game or a movie, it was a really fun experience.
Gotta co-sign this. I miss being a kid and having a sleepover planned on a Friday, your parents or their parents would take you all to blockbuster to get a couple flicks to keep y'all quiet...I miss the analog life :to:

Wherever whores go.....
They could have been a competitor to netflix either online or physial
I mean red box became successful well after Blockbuster became non existent :heh:

I mean its nice to walk in and pick a movie and watch that movie thoroughly

Man blockbuster used to be the joint. There are so many games i never would have played if it wasnt for Blockbuster. Right now you either have to get games through the mail or hope the redbox decides to stock a particular game you want to try (fat chance). Nothing beat going in there as a youngin and finding that copy of Madden someone tried to hide behind Super Adventure Island.

Plus blockbuster night used to be a really cheap date. At least then you actually went somewhere and the discussion between which movies to get would be pretty good. Its not the same just telling a chick to come over so you can browse netflix.

Was just thinking about how as a kid who grew up in the 90s, I now have literally the entire Blockbuster store from any given year back then in my pocket 24/7. I'm talking about a place I looked forward to hitting EVERY weekend, is now just there, on me, wherever I go.

That shyt kinda fukked me up for a minute.

When I was a kid I would get accounts in different neighborhoods and run up the late fees. (Don't ask me how). Then move to another location. Didn't use my CC :russ:
