Do y'all think Lauri Markannen has higher offensive potential than KP?

Markannan is much stronger than I thought and he is actually a good defender and rebounder. Dude also probably has more athleticism than KP as well. He's better than KP was in his rookie year.

And that's on a team where they routinely forget to get him shots in a game.

KP is routinely running the floor starting and ending the break and chasing guards and stretch fours around the perimeter and guarding the rim.

KP is as active as AD when playing the game. Add in that the Knicks are incompetent when it comes to running an offense, there lies his stamina issues.

Posting up is difficult because he can be bodied up by guys like Marcus Smart who always pushes off when KP tries to fade.

I'm glad he's keeping the mid-range game alive in this booming 3 point league. Melo taught him well, he probably needed another season with Melo.

I’d say even with 100% ACLs the potential is there

With a gimmicky one at that height and with his frame, it’s really potential there for Lauri to lap him up

Lauri really has the potential to lap KP up on the offensive side...

There hasn't been too many 7"1 shooters who can put the ball on the floor and pull up and shoot naturally. If Lauri can develop his own shot and bulk up, I have a hard time finding any human in the world that can effectively shut him down.

I shoulda mentioned the gimmicky ACL in reference to KP, but yeah Lauri has all the tools to get past KP. He plays tighter and more fluid, body seems more natural. They both got essentially the same game within the 3 pt line but I think that department was a thing that set KP aside from just about everyone at his position (At least last we saw him).
