I personally liked ‘the ripper strikes back’ more but I can sincerely see how some folks might not so it’s not something I’ve ever been dead set on arguing…just think LL went harder in that song than canibus did…‘2nd Rd KO’ was dope but I feel like he let LL off the hook just a little

wyclef was the real winner tho :troll:

Even merked Iron Mike “Heard that convicted rapist on the record, too (uh-huh)
Fresh out of jail, asscheeks still black and blue (uh-huh! ooooh!)
Tell me 'bout the things Ear-Biter taught you
How to bust a nut or two? (Yeah, that's butter, boo)” :mjlol::russ:
Can’t believe mike didn’t step to him and beat him half to death

Had no idea LL cool j bought canninus in stage and dissed him while invited him as a guest on stage The quote at the end is LL at his finest. lol LL Cool J Brings Out Canibus At Barclays | Rap Radar

"Whoa, what’s beef? Last night at the Barclays Center, LL Cool J brought out former foe Canibus, to perform their posse cut, “4,3,2,1”. In the history of rap, is this the first time a diss verse was performed with the target serving as a hypeman? If that wasn’t strange enough, at the 2:17 mark, LL throws salt in the wound one last time, “Yo Canibus, love you boy! Your career is starting again, baby!”.

Salute to LL first def jam to go platinum, his consistent going gold platinum, his style for ladies, clubs, versatile having songs for fellas without being "gangsta persona" film,tv shows, movies and can do songs pop culture would also like without the corniness. Rappers learn the marketing to female concept is from LL. In my opinion. "The female buy the records " like Pac said.

Goddamn, This the funniest shyt I ever seen in my life, and the saddest shyt at the same time.

This nikka brought Canibus out has a prop in the own diss song against him, goddamn, can't nobody say Canibus won a goddamn thing, got damn, this man snatched Canibus' fukking soul, no wonder Canibus voice changed and all the confidence was gone.

LL bullying this man, sheesh, LL lyrics had me rolling because with Canibus right there looking so pitiful, it's like damn, he said he was gonna do this to you

goddamn LL gotta be the GOAT battle rapper after this, damn

LL won because Canibus was supposedly next up and everyone thought Cool J would get washed.Canibus’s wack debut album made it worst too.
This sounds like saying yes L won off popularity. Basically the legend with more credibility didn't demolish but came back strong enough and the people did as judges do in boxing and "respected the belt".

If LL came out in 94 instead of 84 would this question be as polarizing?
