I agree with moving into safe black neighborhoods, rather than being targets for bitter, unmotivated poor people with nothing to lose(this is a gross oversimplification. Not all people in the hood are bad people). The reality is that you are a mark if stay in an environment after making all of the personal, educational and financial sacrifices to obtain financial mobility and security... and end up having jealous ones taking what you have work to obtain for yourself and family, going as far as killing to get it. You can say that staying in the hood is a viable option. When the crab mentality as regressed in the hood, then this can be entertained.
I personally have been a recipient(victim) of the mentality of hood/poor people that saw me and my family as a mark because my dad had a good paying job and we always had nice things that others of lower status couldn't afford. Luckily, I've never been robbed at gunpoint or had my car jacked, but my parents' house was robbed one year while we were on vacation and I've had bicycles and other toys taken from me growing up.
