IMO the most dangerous region in America pound for pound is the Midwest. Most of the most dangerous cities with high murders seem to be in that region:
Flint
Detroit
Chicago
St. Louis
Gary
Milwaukee
Cleveland

All those cities at one point made murder capital. Especially St Louis, Flint and Detroit. The South, Northeast and West in we go region wise is not touching the Midwest on murder. Again this is coming from someone from the Northeast.

I'm from the state of NY and I know better. Heck IMO NYC is the most overrated city in the state of NY when it comes to the "most violent city." Most of the violent places in NY are upstate like Newburgh, Rocheaster, Albany and Buffalo. NYC is nowhere near those four cities, especially NB in murder rate; even with a large population.
