Please don't tell me in highschool, and I'm assuming you graduated, (questioning that from your responses) you were taught that timing (dates) automatically infers resemblance or plagary.
If so, then I truly realize why you are struggling with my aforementioned question.
Never said anything about plagiarizing. My point is that you feel the commandments are basic logic and that's why you believe in them. But other teachings using this so called basic logic which predates it. You are allowed to believe in whatever faith you please but don't try to pretend it's logical that's bullshyt.

The basics of logic is that it must be internally consistent.
For example, "married bachelor" is not internally consistent based upon the very definition of bachelor.
How can someone realize the commandments are logical is based upon their internal consistency.

Your whole slick move to introduce Hammurabi, as if that question was going to stumble Me by the way, even validates my point.
Two different cultures at two different time periods even came to the same LOGICAL conclusins about certain moral and ethical laws of how people should live/conduct themselves.

Actually no, I am encouraging you to do something all human beings should and that is to pursue knowledge and learn something new everyday.
