Before I start, this isn't talking about the existence of g-d. That's not my argument whatsoever. I'm talking about the religious hierarchy.
John Lennon's "Imagine" brings a good point. This world has had WARS over religion. Just some examples, Armenian Genocide, Cyprus conflict, Israel/Palestine, ISIS (funding by Saudis), and etc.
Spirituality is important because it preaches love. However, religion has been used as fear and intimidation/bullying. Even women have been oppressed in religion.
So, what do you guys think? At the end of the day we are all people. Now, in some instances religion serves a purpose and I'll admit that as an Agnostic I'm infatuated with Pope Francis's work. I think we need more leaders like him.
P.S. let's not turn this thread into if g-d does or doesn't exist because that isn't the point of my thread and we have too many of those anyway.

Let's not forget the Catholic church scandals and those cac camp retreats by Evangelicals.
is bad for society in general.
