blah blah blah kid you always almost had plans to almost do something

"technically" :mjlol: nah bruh there's no technicalities, you're not a jew, full stop. and that's ok, just like it is to question a lot of things. just stop telling the world mid-thought, wait till you reach some conclusions before announcing your ideas
Never said I was a Jew, Christian, Muslim, or whatnot. Anyhow, I actually had a meeting set up with a Rabbi, but canceled. Yes, I called and had an appointment set up.

At this point I'm just trying to better my life and find my purpose in life.

that's not an accomplishment bro

jews dont proselytize, if someone calls up and says they wanna meet with a rabbi, he's not gonna say no off break

i encourage you to find your purpose, im just saying, stop staking claims to halfway points throughout that road, wait till the end to let everyone know, yeah?

I feel that religion has always just been an excuse for tyrants to take what they want while getting their people to give up their lives for a "noble cause", like instead of saying "I want thousands of you to die young so I can get more land, wealth, and resources that you won't get a piece of" was a tough sell so now we're "bestowing religion on the savages and taking their shyt". Patriotism/Nationalism or interventionism would replace it, if we need a right reason to do the wrong things.

Idiots would invent something new to believe in anyways :snoop:

Like society?

A lot of our thinking is deep-seated with religious thought. Or at least patriarchal systems (such as modern society) are based on it.

I type on a phone so I can't go as deep into it as I'd like but to be brief.

Like @Wave Caps by OsCorp™ and I think @The Wave alluded to or stated, religion is the foundation of a highly intelligent society. Because in just about every religion, what is the main focus? Order and control.

Man's natural inclination is toward order and control. The reason we have modern society as we come to know of it is based on that, and the fact that man attempts to relate himself to what is defined as arcane or 'sacred' such as God. So man builds institutions that give him some form of relation to what he considers to be divine.

We can take a look deeper into earlier systems where kingship was practiced based on the belief the king could consult with the gods. That king had to maintain a regularity in his day-to-day activities. The primary reason being is that the king was as divine as the cosmos so he had to function as the cosmos, out of order. An example of this is the sun: it "ascends" and "descends" at regular, consistent intervals. So as long as the king maintained order, societal life would continue to function. Kingship in its purest form is a religious practice.

To not delve deeper and round back to the point, religion is based on control and order because without it we'd have chaos. There is no society in chaos.

To be honest, I don't think it would make a difference.

The way I see it humanity is naturally combative and selfish. If it's not relion it's tribes or culture or race. Any type of difference to justify our acts

Religion is usually an excuse, but it certainly has the capability to plague ones mind
If you turn on the news, 99% of the murders that happen in the city/state have no religious component to it. People are naturally evil and everything wrong that happens in the world would keep happening regardless of religion :yeshrug:
