Sell out how?

Tech can rap his ass off and is an independent mastermind, but I always felt his demographic was white ppl who stan ICP

:heh: He "sold out " like a decade ago when he stopped trying to matter to the actual rap core and started pandering to those weirdo methed out white hillbilly ICP types...or does everybody think he's been touring bars in idaho and Iowa and Montana and sh!t 300 days out of the year out of a sheer love and respect for fly-over land cac-culture :pachaha: ...it was a business move that benefitted his career...it's a mind trip that after being claimed by that world, coming back and working with regular ole rappers is considered the "sell out" move

He ain't pander to them. He made the same type of music he's been making and/or evolution of the same and THEY came to him and fukked with him when black radio wouldn't.

He's always been "different". He stayed on his grind and did HIS thing until people showed up who would support it. He may show them love after the fact that he hasn't gone outside of his element to appease anybody.

Hell naw he ain't sell-out.

Tech N9ne is at a higher profile NOW than he ever was. 10 years ago when he still had red spiked hair, NO nikkaz was fukking with him.

Ever since getting that placement on Tha Carter 4, nikkaz started realizing this nikkaz talent.

i like to discuss this because i think there is some truth. I think Tech is going to the same route Ras Kass went in terms of mainstream. And dwindling away from his hardcore fans.
not at all. Ras Kass didnt know how to make a crossover record..he wasnt meant to make party records or songs about bytches...Tech on the other hand has been doing these types of songs since the beginning...listen to The Worst and Calm Before the Storm and he's doing party jams, songs for the bytches, etc all mixed in with the dark shyt he usually does. his new album is essentially the same blueprint as his first album. i do feel like he got a little jiggy for awhile in there though.

what? Not Afraid came out like 4 years ago.. Tech has been consistently dropping since 2001.

Yo idk breh....was at a concert of his by coincidence wed night and he had what looked like to me (not a fan/familiar with dude) a lot of day 1's in the building

:yeshrug:

But yeah there was literally prolly 15-20 people of color period in the crowd (minus security)

:francis:

4-500 people in the venue

Still a pretty live concert
