Do you feel intellectually inferior reading HL?

HL could be A LOT better with their news. I've gotta go to other sites for my news discussion (which is fine, this site isn't geared toward that). Plus, HL is dead. All the good discussion I've had happens in TLR

It happens to you, you don't happen to it (cliche, but true). You learn that one thing (different for different people) and it changes your life forever. For me it was learning about absolute infinity

Are you saying that you have no control over your life and whatever is going to happen...will?

So why even bother I guess? Am I interpreting you correctly?

Depends on the context. Existentially, everything is happening at once, so no you don't have control, all possibilities are already happening "now". In day to day life, I pretend and "believe" in the illusion, that what I does matters. But in actuality it doesn't (it's already happened). I'm getting off on tangents now, but if we can figure out how to jump dimensions in absolute infinity, then maybe what we do actually matters (because we can choose our own path). Currently though, I can't do that. So yes, everything pretty much doesn't matter. It is what it is.

Yes, I often ask myself "why bother?"
