I personally hate mid/high waisted jeans on girls it hides a lot of the figure and makes their hips appear wider.

I hate them as well. But I have a pair of (apparently) really low rise american eagle jeans and whenever I bend down while wearing them my butt crack shows if I'm not wearing a long cami. I wear them because I love the way they look.
