Never got the gambling bug. Winning $100 is no big deal - but losing $100 would piss me off.
Do you or someone you know have REAL gambling problems?
Pops was pretty heavy into gambling during the 90s. It didn't help that we lived in Connecticut where Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun are located.
I remember one night my mother packed us in the car and had a family friend drive us to Foxwoods at night so my mother could find my father and bring him home.
Luckily he was transferred to the Navy Base in Georgia where there weren't any casinos.
Since then hes cooled down. I haven't heard of him gambling for years now.
Oh yeah I just remembered my Grandmother used to hit slots big time in the 90s. She even works at one of the casinos in CT and would have to go gamble at another caisno. Luckily she gave up on gambling.
I guess I know where my addiction and lack of impulse control comes from.

My grandma used to go to South of the Border in South Carolina to do a little gambling with her friend Louise, but it was never that serious. She’ll hit up Biloxi and go to them casinos.
Gotta friend who gambled on poker and drops pretty big coin everytime he goes. He’s took some losses, but for the most part he does well. Low key, I’m just waiting on getting a call from him telling me he’s in a bind. I don’t gamble much, but when I do, I’ll isuall allocate myself something small like $80. Once I lose that, I’m out. I do that because I know my discipline isn’t the best. I’ll win and in my head, I’m thinking I can win more. All I play is black jack

My grandfather on my Mom’s side , died owning The Sands casino in AC 75k
They sent a wreath and everything. I’m assuming they got their $, I was too young to really be aware of it all
This was around 87 or so, when they Casinos were all about comps, cash loans, etc.
