Over 90% of people who use computers DONT need a computer to do what they do on a computer. With that being the case, laptops having been made affordable and easily accessible for almost 20yrs now, I’m not the least bit surprised that there is a significant population of people who don’t currently or have not ever owned a desktop.
:yeshrug:

That being said, I’ve had a desktop almost my whole life and I’m 37. I remember being 4yrs old and I use to go in my dads office and play some space game on his Tandy.

As soon as I can get my hands on a 3080, 3080ti, 3090, or 6900 (preferably a 3080 or 6900) for a reasonable price, I will

-Yep. My nephew had one built & was selling it so I bought it from him. I just factory reset it so I'm gonna start getting it set up for what I actually want it for now.
-I've been mostly using laptops for years & I still have a couple now.

Nah I don't. Crazy how I was so addicted to desktop computers and now I wouldn't even use one if I had one.
I always had a desktop from 95 till like 2014.
I have a chromebook but don't use it . I don't have any use for them tbh.

Hell
nope.

my GPU was like $450 brand new, now it's going for $800+ used.

:dead:

sold my 570 8 gig for 400 earlier this year, bought it for 145:mjlit:

couldn't play anything on that the was next generation, struggled to get 30fps on GOW5... lagging everwhere.

Dude who bought it said it's a beast:troll:

I think the last desktop i owned was during my college days and it was a Dell (early to miss 2000s). It's still sitting in my old bedroom and there's a ton of good music on it still.

I primarily used desktops for work up until 2013 but I now I have a saegar, an HP, and a MacBook pro.

I have an M1 Macbook Air.

I kind of want the new Mac too though.

How's that M1 treating you? I'm still on a 2018 MacBook pro
