My ol Haswell PC is still 'putin after 6 years. 4690k, 16gb ram, and a 1060.

About time for an upgrade, but I'm not pulling the trigger until GPU prices come down.

I bought a refurb desktop in 2016. Used it like 2-3x a month at most and was mainly on my Chromebook.

Once the pandemic hit and I started WFH more, it was a Godsend. I've been using it for leisure more than my Chromebook too now.

Yes and it's still running on windows XP. I had it for at least 15 years now and it's been reformatted like a hundred times but I built it myself and has like 3 hard drives with all my old music in it.

Gaming PC out about 2k into the overall setup. It’s dated now tho from like 2016.

Install the latest Windows and update your graphics drivers and display drivers. And your antivirus. And your Visual-C++/.NET-Framework. That’s all it should take to bring it back to life breh. And it’s all free

two old windows desktops, locked up somewhere. i use a macbook pro for most things (external screen+peripherals left in london+germany+washington DC) and i have an older macbook with ubuntu on it.

i need to replace my laptop soon and still haven't decided what to buy. apple lost me with the latest macbooks/M1 chips/USB-C and ecosystem decisions. don't want to use windows.
