Manhood is not biological, it is a social construct, albeit, a construct that I readily accept.

Man’s role in procreation does not inherently determine anything else about him outside of his ability to impregnate a woman.

Do you put your blackness before your duties to provide, to protect, to teach, to heal and to lead? Do you think the two are exclusive? Do you think the two conflict at times? When is it appropriate to separate the two?

What do you put first op? Are you a solemn protector? A dutiful father? Are you indeed your brother's keeper? Or are you black and whatever that may entail. Do you seperate the two ? Do people treat you like a black person first? A man first or both?

I feel you breh but those things are biological, they have no naturally inherent bearing on our social role or personality.

It depends on the strategy...of what you are trying to do...

Unfortunately...Identity Politics have taken hold in our Western society...so certain things that as men...all men go through regardless of race...and certain things as women...all women go through regardless of race...and that if you want to get something done for your gender...you are going to be raceless...

Like all men...are highly vulnerable to violence...more than women...

All men are more likely to go to prison than women...

All men are more likely to work highly dangerous jobs than women...

Women live longer than men...

Men have weaker reproductive rights...

Men now are less educated than women in the Western World...

So if I want...say...male birth control...I am not going to approach it as a Black man...Ima approach it as a man...

If I want say...idk...to change the disparity of prison sentences between Black men nd White men for the same crime...I'ma approach it as a Black man...

You gotta know when to be raceless and when to lead with your race in this world of Identity Politics...

Part of being a man first is looking out for and protecting your woman, taking care of your family and generally putting the wants of other people before yourself for the greater good of the whole. Feminism seems to be a completely self serving thought process.
