i know u don't know but back then there was only 23 teams and the same amount of teams made the playoffs so you had some weaker teams made it because you still played 82 games and you were playing teams as much as 6 times in a season
so the bulls had to play boston, detroit, philly, etc.. 5 or 6 teams which means they were going to lose 80% of those games. stronger teams back then
