"On days I wasn't able, there was always 'Caine"

First time I heard that I was like :whew:

Even back then I preferred Malice over Pusha.

:patrice:

Malice the deeper and more complete rapper. but he ain't touching Pusha's one liners.

"I put this on my Lord, my niece was four when she felt chinchilla"

"I'm the best since he died and he lied The spirit of competition, one verse can start jihad"

the joke is: I hated this track at first. At the time, I didn't get the hype. And I was a Neptunes stan. The track that made me purchase the album was "When The Last Time." I couldn't stop playing that song. I thought that shyt was FIRE (it's still a good song, but not quite a classic).

As the years have passed, I now see Grindin is the best shyt they ever released. Grindin was too raw for me back then.

I don't get this "Malice was always the best" rewrite history 101. Malice was never that nice. Pusha was the guy everyone focused on. For good reason. He sounded better. He danced on the beat compared to Malice, who was like "1 bar, 2 bar..." his flow wasn't as flashy.

2002, MTVE (multichoice cable box. Multichoice is a cable company based in south africa that has branches in different african countries, i was living in Ghana at the time. MTVE is MTVEurope). I know it wasn't Channel O. It was MTVE but they had alot of video countdown shows besides TRL. I think they had the US and Europe top 10 videos. And a hiphop top 10 if i remember. It was one of those 4. heard and saw Made You Look on one of the latter 3 for the first time too. 2002 is one of my favorite years. Takes me back to a good place.

I felt the same way. I didn't really like it initially. It had to grow on me. I just remember thinking "aren't these three same cats who dropped The Funeral a couple years ago and then vanished?" The dramatic shift in content felt forced since I never heard the shelved exclusive audio footage lp until after I heard lord willin. Grindin did grow on me and then when I heard Gangsta Lean, i was like :wow:
