This is what I'm talking about. Aside from the conscious stuff, Malice had that clever, smooth arrogance

His verse on this still gives me the chills....

"Malice he think he hard, tough guy of the click
And Pusha he walk around like he swear he the shyt
You right on both counts bytch, Clipse is us
And there's a couple things that you don't discuss"

"I tried being humble, Humble get no respect
Now the first sign of trouble, that's a hole up in yo neck
But what I look like spending my nights in jail
I could never be a thug, they don't dress this well"

:whoo::wow:

Pusha's in my top five, but Malice's verse on Key's Open Doors is one of my favorites of all time.
Chills everytime.

It was a little deeper than that as it progressed. They started playing on the whole kane and able thing... Started to get reflective as they started to see their people go to prison. For malice especially. They went on a solid run.
they weren't just average coke rappers, they became fukking cocaine Shakespeares. The way they rapped about the perils and advantages of selling dope was like they had their own artform. Not even Jay in his prime IMO sounded as dope as they did when it came to coke rhymes. Sure alotta cats get tired of hearing the redundant content, but im a firm believer that in certain areas of life especially music, that you know your limitations, stick to what you know and what you're best at. Last thing I want to see is another great MC branching out and essentially quitting rapping like Cee-Lo and Andre 3K did.

clipse came through with the lyrics and the beat is easily one of my favorite beats of all time :ohlawd:

then i remember when i bought lord willin' and the 1st time i heard virginia :damn:

is pusha the most improved rapper we've ever seen... shyt was sooooooooo basic... and now the nikka got about 100 quotables per track

this is the only line that mal got over push :wow:

:whoa: Idk homie. I think It's much closer than that. Malice has come more correct than Pusha on his fair share of occasions (I'm Not You, Keys Open Doors, Popular Demand, Mr. Me Too, etc.)

Wanna know the time? Better clock us
nikkas bite the style from the shoes to the watches
We cloud hoppers, tailored suits like we mobsters
Break down keys into dimes and sell them like Gobstoppers

Who gone stop us? Not a goddamn one of ya
Mean with the Re-Up, nikka we street tumblers

Best Malice verse ever as well. He killed it.

It shames me to no end
To feed poison to those who could very well be my kin (uh huh)
But where there's demand, someone will supply
So I feed them their needs at the same time cry
Yes it pains me to see them need this
All of them lost souls and I'm their Jesus
Deepest regret and sympathy to the street
I see them pay for they fix when they kids couldn't eat (so sorry)
And with this in mind, I still didn't quit
And that's how I know, that I ain't shyt (I ain't shyt)
My heart bleed but that's aside from the fact
I live for my kids and theirs and them youngins after that
