honestly being a fan of a player is more :snoop: than any bandwagon fan could ever be.

i know a guy at my work who roots for the knicks because hes an amare stoudamire fan...:dwillhuh:

So being loyal to one player is worse than hopping from team to team? I'm trying to understand the logic. I know someone who's a Carmelo fan, and became a Knicks fan when he was traded there. If someone's following their favorite player to me thats more understandable than Lakers fans becoming Spurs fans just for the hell of it.

That switch their favorite teams every year? That have never shown allegiance to one squad? That would shyt on their home state or city to follow one player? Do you take these peoples sports criticisms and insight seriously, friends? Do you feel like they could ever share in your pain & joy? Thoughts?

In my opinion, as long as they know about the sport outside of their favorite team of player, I couldn't care less. The worst is talking to "fans" and realizing they know absolutely nothing about the game or current events in the game, Just their "favorite" player. :yeshrug:

It's common knowledge these types get little to no respect. But we all know why this thread was made :youmad:

the logic behind this....is just

What sense does it make to root for a team just because they're in your city?

I believe in loyalty, but I also believe you should have control over who you root for.

Why should someone have to root for a team with an incompetent gm just cuz that teams in their city? Maybe I'm weird but that just doesn't make sense to me.

Rooting for kobe>>>rooting for the rockets

I can depend on kobe to bust his ass in the summer and improve his game. I can not depend on the rockets management to make intelligent roster moves. Why should I suffer because of their mistakes?

But i do agree that if you call yourself a "heat fan" just because lebron went there then you're a fakkit. Dudes that pretend to be a fan of a team but they're really just a fan of one player are bytches.
