I stay doing this when someone goes on a tangent about some bs, "yup" followed by the little fake laugh. In a better situation I'd wouldn't have to entertain this but if this is the MOST I have to converse then whatever.​

Lol, I got one of those too. I think she's a spinster in training. She the type to look at the wall when passing thru halls, management treats her with kid gloves. Id be interested in hearing more of your techniques.

If im going to the cafeteria, I ask her if she wanna come knowing damn well she bring her own food

If im going to the vending machine, I ask her if she want soda, protein bar or something.

Basically do regular stuff so she dont have shyt on me, she cant pull no harrassment stuff without looking crazy.

I think I pulled her out of her shell a lil bit.

Honestly, I would have left her alone if she didnt pull that elevator shyt. But hey I am a petty nikka

A lot of y’all are making your situations worse by going the extra mile to not associate at all. There’s a difference between going there to work and being outright anti-social. You gotta play the game or the game gonna play you every single time.

You can still be social without getting caught up in office politics and other nonsense. I was in Tampa for 3 days for work and was hanging out with VPs and Directors and just played the game. I didn’t c00n out, kept it Black 100%, but just hung out and shot the shyt...them started picking their brains about how they invested in stock, how they rose up the ranks and etc.

Y’all be cutting yourself off from some good game you can pass on to your kids and other brothas by tryna be super nikka.

you have to know how to politic in business. that's just one of the rules of the game.

always be on time, watch your back, don't burn bridges, and look for the ones that are better than you so you can learn from them. that's how you grow and move up the ladder.

also... there are no friends in the office, only colleagues. rationality is your best friend at work.
