Walking Dead Season 1 is :banderas: Season 2 wasn't bad, it just wasn't as good imo (400 days is somewhere deep in the bushes).
Wolf Among Us was :leon: I didn't know much about the comics or anything but it surprised me. Hope it get's a season 2.
Tales From the Borderlands aka the sleeper of 2014/2015 is :blessed: and i never really could get into the Borderlands series. Tales makes me want to give it another shot. The story, characters, and soundtrack is the holy trinity. shyt, if i had to choose. I'd probably take season 2 from Borderlands before Walking Dead season 3.

Game of Thrones- I started episode 1, and didn't finish. I may go back, but i hear it's just so so
Minecraft- i haven't played, :skip:

Basically, Telltale is batting .700

But, they tell stories better than most other games these days. At the cost of gameplay. When they get it right, it's great material. When they don't, the season is ok as a whole, or not interesting at all.

How is Life is Strange though? I hear it started strong, and was shytting on Telltale. Then the ending turned out to be disappointing. Doubt it's fukking with Borderlands, but I might check it out.

Had to bring this shyt back. Boy was i wrong. Life is Strange is DEFINITELY fukkING WITH BORDERLANDS!!!. Life is Strange is my personal sleeper of 2015 now (it got praise, but it's still a sleeper imo).
Walking Dead Season 1=Life is Strange>Tales of the Borderlands (by a nose)>Walking Dead Season 2>Wolf Among Us (only cause i put it last, doesn't mean it's not good)
Life is Strange's story is great. First episode i was like ":manny: i guess it's ok so far". By the end of the 2nd episode i started to get very invested into this game (and it's characters. Hated that bottles shyt tho). I loved episodes 3, 4, and 5 (felt a little rushed but, still great). The ending was great to me. I even played it over with my sister, and niece. My niece legit :to:. I literally cannot wait for season 2. I remember looking at a walkthrough of episode 1 and thinking "man this look like some pre teen shyt. Maybe the niece would like it, i'll watch her play". Most times i can just look at a game and tell if i'd enjoy it or not, but i was wrong on this one.

Love the genre (Beyond Two Souls, Until Dawn) but I haven't played an actual Telltale game in years. I downloaded TWD Season 2 for free but I don't want to play it until I go back and finish Season 1.

season 1 of walking dead was brilliant :blessed:

their subsequent games never quite reached the heights of that, but they still had some gems in between some duds

400 days :gag: trash

the wolf among us was fire :ahh:

season 2 of walking dead :beli: thoroughly mediocre

game of thrones :ehh: not done yet but its been decent

tales from the borderlands:banderas:on par with wolf among us

the big takeway from this is they are still capable of making compelling adventure games but these nikkas desperately need a new fukkin engine :whoa: like seriously. all their games look very similar with simple, cartooney graphics and wonky animation. imagine a telltale game with 'until dawn' level production values :whew:
yes u can draw better grapghics and you can go thr the hole game mashng X and youll win. untl dawn diesnt get the credit it deserves it took a genre and completeky rvelotounized ut

Nah, tried borderlands and I just can't ignore the jankyness anymore. It was excusable when I was playing their games on my iPhone, but too many devs have been able to make better games in this genre. I'd rather play those.

Life is strange>>>>>>>>>>>>Telltails entire existence

I wish Life Is Strange had aimed higher than going with the cliché "pick your ending" option (I would've even preferred if the game picked an ending itself based on your choices instead of actually making it another choice), but other than that the game was awesome and far ahead of Telltale.

Haven't got around to finishing the last two episodes of GoT yet, but I loved Wolf Among Us.

Hope they don't fukk up their Batman game.

i love telltale games. the interactive game play and story keeps me hooked. some say the style is getting played out, but i think they just have to break into different genres to keep it fresh. i know they have batman coming out, but maybe pick up some stephen king books for a thriller/mystery game or get into a horror sci-fi.

they need to ditch that shytty episodic model unless they do it like revelations 2. Wolf among us killed them for me, three month wait per episode and its a whodunit :francis:

I only fukks with TWD series. But even then you just have the illusion of making choices. I mean how hard could it be to make a point and click game that reads out like one of those old school goosebumps choose your own adventure books? Its not like they're out here making giant games like fallout, witcher, or elder scrolls.

I hope the choices in the Batman game coming up have real ramifications.

this wont happen in any game. Waaay too many variables to be spending that much development time and money on. Its unfeasible.Every single game like this only gives you the illusion of choice, its not exclusive to telltale. Thats why everyone says you should never play games like these twice.

I'm guessing you haven't played Until Dawn?
