hes alright but his subject matter is forgettable

What can you expect from q kid that didnt do anything outside of rap and go to school. He didnt even run the streets.

Not only does he have no subject matter but he has no life experience to give personality to his music.

He needs to go through some shyt or go broke or something. His subject matter is basically nonexistant.

These "life experiences" might get you prop with certain people but these rappers are trying to get rich and famous not just live on Internet/street praise their whole careers. Even then, the story of going to school and avoiding the streets and coming up is a far more relatable, less cliche, and desired story to be heard, you actually think people give a single fukk that you were broke or hooked on drugs :heh:Maybe for some people but that's not whats gonna sell

Well he's no Wale :troll:

Nah, Big Sean is decent tho. There are a number of others who come before him in the terrible department.

People think that J Cole, Wale, and Big Sean are not good rappers when really they dumb a lot of it down to appeal to a mainstream audience. When they're rapping on a mixtape or freestyle or non album cut, they rip it 9 times out of 10

He can rap but he's pretty uninteresting and his voice only works on certain types of production.

I don't mind making the effort if you're an interesting person or have an unorthodox style that requires a little more than surface level attention but that's not the case with dude.

this sums it up perfectly

I really like Sean, he comes across very hungry and enthusiastic, and he always kills his guest verses:lawd: apart from his limited subject matter he is top 3 new school for me, look at this;

Also I really respect how he became one of the biggest rappers over the past year after his Hall of Fame flop.

He's nothing special. He'll be forgotten in a few years.

He had a dope verse on Control, though
