Bron respects basketball genius and guys who can understand the game as well as he can. Pop is one of the few people in the league that could school Lebron on basketball IQ and understanding.

And Lebron developed under Pop and Spurs system would be a GOAT player.

by the way the idea that a player should automatically be subservient to a coach is nonsense

there are tons of bad coaches in sports who deserve to get called out by players.

why should a coach get to slide on perpetual bad decision making?

If Pop made a bad decision and Kawhi lit his ass up on the sideline that would be perfectly justified as well

Look at how he's talking to Kawhi. Not saying what he did was horrible

Popovich has been downright lucky with the superstars he coached
- David Robinson (Ex Military)
- Tim Duncan (reserved type guy)
- Kawhi (Even more reserved borderline-mute type guy)

It got me thinking, could Popovich coach a guy like Lebron's personality? :jbhmm:.
Outgoing, life of the party, does what he wants, gives his input on how to coach the team, etc

To be honest I don't think he can :pachaha:. He won't be able to bring the best out of Lebron
Similar to coaching a guy like Wilt, Iverson, Baron Davis, Magic Johnson, or Shaq

Oddly enough, I think Kobe and Popovich would make a great match though :skip:

agree with bold name

That would be hilarious lmao. Just to troll KD. In a few years it could just be an all star game in the western conference finals:

LeBron, Kawhi, Embiid, Harden, Westbrook for the Spurs

Vs

Durant, Curry, Klay, AD, Giannis for the Warriors

ATL - Cleveland Ave.
No. Lebron's game is too organic. If the Spurs' system can't win them a game, they simply lose. There are no adjustments, no takeovers, nothing. Either they wear your down with steady, precision bball, or they fail. Lebron can turn what looks like an L into a W. I think that's the true mark of a superstar, and while I enjoy Kawhi as a player-- I'm still waiting to see that from him.

So this is the new wave?
Slander Lebron as uncoachable and hardheaded?

:beli:

Or are you guys going to spin this to say Lebron is the GOAT because he coached himself without anybody help or direction?

:jbhmm:
