Do you think Popovich can coach a guy like Lebron?

No. Lebron's game is too organic. If the Spurs' system can't win them a game, they simply lose. There are no adjustments, no takeovers, nothing. Either they wear your down with steady, precision bball, or they fail. Lebron can turn what looks like an L into a W. I think that's the true mark of a superstar, and while I enjoy Kawhi as a player-- I'm still waiting to see that from him.

Lol Pop has made multiple adjustments this series already.

The "Spurs system" isn't even the same as it was in 2014.

If we're talking Popovich before he won a title and commanding more respect with the style he has right now:

Lebron, yes. But I don't know if he'd tolerate trying to recruit players. Popovich looks for a certain type and has major influence in the Spurs' process.

Jordan, Shaq, Kobe? No way. They wouldn't tolerate being berated on national tv for a second.

Look at how he's talking to Kawhi. Not saying what he did was horrible

Popovich has been downright lucky with the superstars he coached
- David Robinson (Ex Military)
- Tim Duncan (reserved type guy)
- Kawhi (Even more reserved borderline-mute type guy)

It got me thinking, could Popovich coach a guy like Lebron's personality? :jbhmm:.
Outgoing, life of the party, does what he wants, gives his input on how to coach the team, etc

To be honest I don't think he can :pachaha:. He won't be able to bring the best out of Lebron
Similar to coaching a guy like Wilt, Iverson, Baron Davis, Magic Johnson, or Shaq

Oddly enough, I think Kobe and Popovich would make a great match though :skip:

lebron has NEVER had a coach he respected before.. he's always been bigger than the players.

He's also very smart in that duncan told everyone the secret.. he pulled him aside and said I'm going to yell at you like everyone else, so everyone else doesn't think they are different

I mean didn't Lue say he told Lebron to shut the fukk up once... that was one of those wink wink deals. Bron wouldn't do shyt to Pop but win him his 6-11th rings

IN GAME ADJUSTMENTS friend. Obviously a coach of Pop's calibre should be able to make adjustments from game to game. But other than yelling at his players or benching them, I've never seen him do much else over the years. They win so much however that it's never been something people pay attention to, but it's obvious in the Playoffs.

I SPECIFICALLY stated IN GAME ADJUSTMENTS.

There are no adjustments, no takeovers, nothing.

Uh, yea, sure buddy:wtf:

And even if you meant that, yes there have been "in-game adjustments"

Ex:

Kawhi and Gasol play nearly entire 2nd Q in game 3 to combat Rockets bench.

Lou Will and Beverley adjusted to this by taking mid range floaters.

Pop left Gasol in to start the 4th against the Rockets bench but let Kawhi sit to mirror Harden's minutes because he saw Gasol's length was enough.

Bron has the up most respect for Pop. Probably the only CAC coach he does respect. I hope Bron is healthy enough and up for it next Olympics...

Yes it would work... people forget Lebron wanted Riley to coach him instead of E. Spo...and Wade said NO we don't want that!..and the rookie coach who y'all say he got fired is back overseas and not even an assistant here..

Of course, they would love each other. As long as you know what you are talking about and aren't a p*ssy, player's of Bron's caliber will respect you.

Pop coached Stephen Jackson. I think he'd do fine with Bron. Plus all the stories about Ty Lue cursing Bron out last year makes me think a HOF coach could speak to him a lil rough when needed
