Well, we could create a separate argument for why spelling bee participants, and little league players arent commodities like big time, household college athletes are, by why do that in the first place? If someone can make a case that kids in spelling bees deserve the money, and can adequately negotiate compensation --- hey, more power to 'em. Thats the way the free market operates.
I dont see how one has anything to do with the other. Fact of the matter is I can make a strong case for why the NCAA is an immoral racket, and players deserve compensation. Thats the debate here.
