i think his standup is ok compared to other comedians i've seen, but his acting is where he shines the most imo. i've only seen a handful of movies/shows that he's been in but he's constantly improving and nails his role each time and just has the presence and charisma to carry a film or scene.

Niigga every where you look you find Steve Harvey? Family Feud, Radio Station, Movies, Day time talk show. DL Hugley is doing his thing on CNN, Eddie Murphy stopped getting support after the tranny thing.The Martin Lawrence show is a classic but I wasn't impressed by his standup and even he had a pretty strong run with his movies. Chris Rock had his run, Chappelle decided to leave. Cedric the Entertainer is not funny and Bernie Mac had a successful run with his shows and movies.

Steve has switched his whole style up ever since he started catering to the single black woman demographic. The comedian from the time of The Steve Harvey Show no longer exists. Now he is a relationship counselor/ preacher. Im not into "hood" comedy at all and i dont think Kevin Hart is that funny at all. Bernie Mac, DL Hughley, and Cedric the Entertainer could tell jokes about their familes and they would be funny, Kevin Hart comes across as whiny and annoying.

Dude is not funny and forces everything. Flipping channels last night, I happened to catch him on the David Letterman Show. He actually got a chuckle out of me, but I think it was more the interaction with Letterman.

BUt our generation of comedy is severly lacking. 2 weeks ago I was watching an old stand up of Richard Pryor, one of his last ones, after setting himself on fire, and it had me in tears.

I wasn't comparing. I just used RP as an example cause it was a stand up I recently saw.

RIP Patrice O'neal, he should blown up way more than he did. BUt I understand, he didn't want to be a sellout and did comedy just to do comedy. I saw him live twice, the last time was in Philly 2 weeks before he had his stroke. Almost peed myself laughing so hard. Top 5 dead or alive
