Do you usually have marriage in mind when you decide to date someone?

By that do you approach dating someone as "this could be my potential wife" and act accordingly, or do you just fool around, realize you can't do better, and decide to settle? IDK, to me it seemed like in high school, the whole point of dating someone was just to lose your virginity, and the only people that dated in college were the types that felt they needed to be in a "relationship" in order to sleep with someone.


Like, when a girl says some shyt like "He told me he loved me" do they actually think the dude was gonna propose to them .

Would explain why some people are extremely picky before they even go on the first date, and most are like "sure why not I'll give them a shot"

Of course. Why else would i commit myself if i didnt plan on being married. Seems like a big waste of time for the woman if im just dating her for fun and games but sadly, friends, most men arent up front with their intentions and flip flop back and forth with their dating intent. Often this can lead to a boiling point which erupts in drama for both parties.

Agreed...looking for marriage when you go on a first date clouds your judgment of the female and your "spark" or "connection." If she's the slightest bit of a good woman, you will consciously and unconsciously ignore her personality traits and habits. You should go in solely trying to get to know the woman on a basic level and allow both of you to learn each other...plus its more fun that way.

Eh, I do at times otherwise I wouldn't waste my time with them. In other words, I don't put ceilings on things, the sky is the limit. But that's a bad habit of mine, as well as the people that are in my family. I suppose we're somewhat the settling down type.

That's something I'm trying to break though, I want to enjoy my youth and just play things as they go. It can be hard though, but I just want to live.

Why shouldn't you look into dating women you want to be married though? Like I get that you as the male shouldn't mention that shyt, but you should still be thinking about it in the back of your mind like "do I want this woman raising my kids" and shyt like that.

Not really but there are certain type of girls I prefer to go on dates with - pretty, educated and financially independent. I guess that would make her wifeable but what's usually in my mind on a date is getting to fukk as quickly as possible.
