A new spin off has been announced

An animation aimed at pre-school age children. I think this is a good idea somewhat. The original run was hugely popular with all ages of children and if you were to ask RTD, Moffat, Chibnall and the likes, they would all tell you they have memories of watching it at a very early age.

I can barely figure out what goes on these days at times so I can’t imagine that younger age group getting much out of the show now.

62 today :wow:

Still going strong? Still feels a bit like limbo. Spin off in a couple of weeks and maybe even a new Doctor by the end of the day, or RTD just trolling.

Deleted scenes for the latest series released.

Watched the first two episodes of The War Between The Land & The Sea, really good stuff. Enjoyed it way more than recent Who. I wish it had all came out at once though, I need to see the next episode now!

Also watched the new 90 minute edit of 'The Sea Devils'. They actually managed a pretty good job of it unlike the colourised cut down edits of 'The Daleks' & The War Games which were fukking horrendous.

I might check that out

The original Sea Devils is still one of my comfort watches... some of those early Pertwee adventures before they settled into the 4 episode story rhythm can definitely feel slow in 2025, but I still love it.

Someone needs to do a cut-down edit of The Silurians really.

I didn't see the need for the edits as they're making them to appeal to modern audiences with lower attention spans. Seems like a huge waste of time to me, but this one worked well and it kept the same music which is so good in that serial. Lorne Balfe who does the score for TWBTLATS also contributed to the edit.

fukking with the scores of those 70s BBC Radiophonic Workshop masterpieces should be a treasonable offense tbh.

It's incredible work and was so ahead of it's time as well. There was a docu-drama about Delia Derbyshire & the Radiophonic Workshop released a few years ago. I couldn't get into it but should really go back and watch it.
