Nevermind that black folks in America are the richest in the diaspora.

Black people in the US are going backwards economically and politically. 2% of Black households achieving millionaire status doesn't change that or the fact that black people live shorter lives, have lower median incomes, and have a median net worth approaching 0. The number of American households achieving millionaire status is 10%+ vs. our 2%. I'm not here for participation trophies.

That's by proxy, not by design. Benefactors of a system not made for or by them. I wouldn't want to live too many other places...but let's be honest. Black people succeed in America DESPITE of...not BECAUSE of.


With that said, this is a cool look. Black entrepreneurship needs to be lauded at every turn. And what I like, is we didn't even talk about anyone in entertainment. These are people with normal, everyday businesses. People for some reason think the lady that owns a couple of nail salons isn't a millionaire.
