puig has like 10 WAR over his first two years as a 22-year old. cespedes got 10 WAR only after 4 years after starting as a 25-year old.

Cespedes is actually an older version of Puig without the off the field BS. Both have mesmerizing talent and are ridiculously gifted physically. I don't think Puig will be the legendary HOF-level player some thought just like Cespedes never became the player a lot of folks thought he could be. Puig just has all the other nonsense you have to deal with.

If I spend my energy focused on talking to people and making friends, then that takes away from the energy I could be focused on getting ready to pitch.
