The main issue is that people under 30 really don't care about baseball other than their specific team, especially the younger you go.
In the social media age you're watching the game with a phone in your hand texting/browsing and a tablet/laptop beside you streaming something else. The attention span just isn't there for the new generation of sports fans to ride out 9 innings and 300+ pitches from teams they don't care about.
