People are taking their hate for ol girl to the extreme. No longer can people simply say that “her music is wack”, or “her music does nothing for me.” Don’t get it twisted, her “straight men are red flags” take is corny. But dudes like Adin and his ilk are literally shyting on her character. I know for them some of the hate is coming from her being TDE affiliated lol. I personally think she’s an ok rapper. She definitely fits in the weirdo circles with the Tyler the Creators tho.
i like what she was saying in the first verse and she had some dope and deep metaphors about life being dark when she's that dark.....and mouths getting fed when her ass is that thick.....pushin P since bathroom stalls is an okay metaphor i guess.
but outside of that, as far as the actual rapping, i'm not intrigued. She addressed a few things, but not in the creative and skillful "rapper" way that pulls me in man. Felt like she was just saying things cut and dry without adding any *sauce* to it. (ie. "i delete yall chats, i delete yall threads".......okay???
) She could've just said what she rapped and i wouldn't even know the difference (if that makes sense).
I really just be wantin someone to restore the feelin of that creativity and lyricism that was prevalent back in the day i guess
