I don’t about 25 k. But them migrant workers you see picking strawberries and selling them on the corners in Los Angeles work hard as fukk. They get paid shyt and they work harder than most.

How much does a Dentist make? I come across young ass dentists....my optometrist is probably mid 40s or more, I guess. She told me if gas gets to $7 a gallon, she's not coming to work anymore.

The problem is what the doctor had to do to get become a doctor. I know a white boy we used to party. And he changed his life and is like internist. He was pre med and med school forever. The 25 k worked doesn’t have to have experience. And the 25 k worked ain’t doing brain surgery.

i already explain why i used that comparison. people say $25k job and frame it around fast food workers, not people like EMTs. That's why you have people in here saying $25k workers "don't work as hard as" doctors. It's because people just associate wage with workload which is bullshyt.
It doesn’t matter how you compared it, it’s wrong. They are not comparable.
:yeshrug:

And I see far more people saying that minimum wage employees work harder than doctors (or other high earning jobs) than the other way around.

You’re doing exactly what you are saying others are doing, associating someone’s lack of higher earning with being a harder worker.

If the person being paid $25k deserves to be paid as much as a doctor, then they should just go become a doctor and start cutting people open and prescribing medications.

:stopitslime:
Exactly maybe they should work hard towards an education.

It depends on the type of doctor but it's about the value you provide. People are paid by value not by how hard they work. Bezos is worth billions because his company provides value to billions of people. Billions of people buying your products is billions in revenue.

If you're in a highly credentialed occupation that requires 10 years of school there's not many people in the population who can and are willing to do the job but almost everyone needs a doctor. Plus with how Healthcare is handled in the United States they can charge a huge premium for services. Surgeons make a shyt ton of money for this very reason. Don't matter how hard a surgeon works if they can't do a successful surgery. I'd rather have a lazy surgeon with a 99% success record than a hard working one who fails half the time :picard:
This is why even among doctors the top ones end up costing more. They are in higher demand.

That's just how capitalism is. Supply and demand.
End thread

i'm seeing people say that "the doctor went to school...therefore he/she works harder". that's a debate based around who's more educated or who's more skilled. hard work is a basic thing to determine. some of yall have been associating job titles or having a degree as "hard work" for some reason. that's something different.

The constant disrespect against men is ridiculous

Millionaire doctors dont work as hard as a single mom?

People cant be this stupid.... money is based on skill, knowledge, and your ability to sell.

A single mom working the register at 7/11 doesnt work harder than a 7 figure professional

Bruh, this ain't a gender war.

My damn sister is a surgeon :skip:

The real reason doctors get paid what they do is because the AMA controls the number of licensed doctors that are allowed to practice. Ergo, supply and demand.

What they do is hard though no doubt and the journey to get there is a grind

Difficult and if you’re not willing to apply yourself don’t do it, because you’ll waste your time

I took my First exam 2011, FCAS 2019

7 exams in 5 years
What was your undergraduate degree background in?
what the average time to prepare for each test?
What made you choose to become an actuary?
What the work schedule like?
