Does anybody actually write cover letters when applying for jobs???

i have a few written out that i swap the company names out

I know when I see the option for cover letter in job applications I give the face

Who the hell has time to write a cover letter for each and every job they applying for when more times than not you not liable to get a response back

If it aint zip recruiter or linkedin where i can use my existing resume for 1 click or minimal effort then

Only write cover letters for public sector and non profit jobs. As far as private sector jobs do not write one unless they specially require to do so. They rarely check those. I wrote millions of cover letters and the job that eventually took me didn’t even look at mine

And I dont even apply to jobs that require me to fill out long applications if I'm not getting an interview.

I used to just fill out address and upload csv.
