I ain't f*cking with you breh. It's what I've been on for the past 6-7 years but it's hard to find a good pair from a good brand in my opinion that keeps it thorough and has the right oz of selvedge. The selvedge refers to the process and construction of the denim where a specific weight of denim is uses (12oz to 48oz....12oz are flimsy and 48oz are the highest they go...Naked and Famous makes a pair and you can stand them up on their own LOL).

I have Uniqlo selvedges on that I copped from the 34th street store a couple of days ago. Sure, they are made in China, but the denim itself is imported from Japan. And they were 49.90. That's pretty cheap cause most of them run for at least $100-$150. And thats not even the major brands...there are brands like Self-Edge where the jeans are constructed by hand and run $200 minimum or upwards of $750.

Basically you'll pay a good amount of money, but it's more like an investment than just another piece of clothing that you can have for years to come.

How do the uniqlo selvedges fit?

I'm thinking about copping these http://www.uniqlo.com/us/store/life...ns-selvedge/124313-69-032?ref=search/selvedge but I'm anal as fukk about the way my jeans fit and always hesitant before ordering a pair online. I've never had a pair of selvedges but for $40 why not try em out :manny:

Yeah, these are the pair I bought. The only difference is I bought them in the regular straight cut. I made sure to try them on in store. I usually wear a 32 X 32, but for the sake of having extra room in the thighs and crotch of the jean, I sized up and bought them in a 34 X 34. The largest size they carry is a regular and I kind of like to have my jeans not too baggy but not to skinny/tight at the same time. The regulars are fine in that regard. The slim ft selvedges are good amazing for that price and I wouldn't hesistate to cop em because they usually have sold the selvedge jeans for 89.90 at Uniqlo for as long as I can remember when they have them on sale. And it's rare for a promotion, so the value is great.

They take a while to break in, but really it just takes 3-4 months of repeated wear on a daily/weeklyn basis to have them in tip top comfort level shape.

Thanks. I been reading up on them and people are saying the inseam is a little longer because they're measured with the hems cuffed and they're slightly tight (so a 32 on the tag will measure at a 33). I'm a 32x32 as well and will probably just order them true. I just got one more question: they're gonna stretch after wearing them right a while right?

Yeah, they stretch with repeated wear.

We used to put rubberbands around our ankles :snoop:

damn you took it back, i use to only do it with lite colored shoes.....it was stressful as fukk when the blue dye leaked/rubbed all over sneakers especially on forces.......the slit at the bottom of jeans was a way bigger trend though

I'm old school, so I keep a crease in everything from my work uniform to khakis and jeans... Hell even in the summer I keep my shorts creased. The proper Iron is key, I currently have one of those shark joints.

Nice cheap little iron that will steam the hell out of Your clothes. IMO Rowenta is the best though.

Creases keep a guy looking fresh as hell even amongst folks who are wearing new gear. It's a very rare occasion that I feel out styled.

I can't help it. I think I look good in em. Women tell me im sexy. yea one or two hav tried to semi-clown me about it but i laugh with em bcuz we both kno it doesnt effect their moisture:youngsabo:

Use up maybe half a can of starch on one pair when I have time. Never get em done at the cleaners bcuz there's a particular art form to it. Plus it's therapeutic, like meditating almost. I kno it's old school and arguably played out but hey, the bytches ain complainin so fukk it.

My shyt don't be this ridiculous but I see where they were trying to go with it. It's a skill brehs

In general breh, I wear pressed clothes, but with jeans I don't like a crease in 'em the same way I like 'em in khakis. Jeans as long as you fold 'em you're good :obama: I press khakis and cotton dress shirts, and dress clothes non cotton I dry clean, and jeans t-shirts I fold and keep in an open closet space. :obama:
