What happens when there is no fillibuster and the Republicans are in control?

The American public just doesn’t see some basic democratic principles like free and fair elections, representative government, rule of law, separation of powers, voting rights, minority rights, etc. as mandatory as perhaps was assumed.

If it's a right worth restricting, don't you think it's a right worth having and thusly exercising?
This response in this thread are kinda sad and seems to confirm what seems more and more apparent to me that the general public doesn’t really care as much about democracy, or see it as vitally important as I may have assumed.
A couple of things…democracy is a very complex concept that we’re not going to flesh out here, and America never was or is a true democracy. Every nation exists on a scale of democracy, really.
What is apparent now is that one of the two major parties and their constituents have gone full-blown authoritarian and the other party is too weak, incompetent or incapable to really do anything about it and the general public that isn’t pro-coup is kinda like
The American public just doesn’t see some basic democratic principles like free and fair elections, representative government, rule of law, separation of powers, voting rights, minority rights, etc. as mandatory as perhaps was assumed.
