The fact that you feel like you're underachieving is actually a good thing in that you expect more of yourself (you'd be surprised how many don't). The next step then is to envision where you'd like to be and research the steps it takes to get there from your current position. The good news is that you're in your twenties so there's virtually no doors closed to you if you're willing to put in the work.

I know you prob hate hearing this but at 21 you have your whole life in front of you. It sounds cliché but it's not, I realize that now at age 36. When I was 21 seems a century ago.
Idk wtf to do, all tho I got goofy dreams.

Don't even worry about girls breh, you ain't gonna get any as long as you don't feel good about yourself. That's a consequence, can't focus on that now.

Try to focus and what you like even if you don't think you can make a living out of it. Look at where you live, if it offers opportunities for training or whatnot. Try to think of what you do have instead of what you don't. Read. Those goofy dreams (what are those dreams?) might have something in them that can be worked upon. I don't want to sound like some motivational "live your dreams" bs but I think a lot of brehs (including myself) have been through some stuff here and could help you out to get on the track to something where you may be more satisfied with life.

depends what your definition of "success" is

if its money, then you're always going to feel like an underachiever because you'll always compare yourself to people that have more

I've learned that in life, U have to create your own bar for achievement and not their to follow society bar because its an illusion anyway.
It is about money but nah i don't need that much to live. The problem is, right now i have nothing.

Welcome to the club breh :mjcry:

Only advice I can give you is find some activity/hobby you really like and spend time on it. I think some people just ai'nt really for the corporate life or whatever, but we all got to eat. So you need something on the side.

I'm personally at a crossroads right now and as Kundera would say, there's no way to know what choice is the right one, because you can't compare the consequences of the two options. That's the most scary thing. I'm considering leting go my "real" job and find something to just get by and have more time for myself. Dunno yet :francis:

Are you making money at 36? :lupe:

i feel you breh, Im not going to pretend to have the answers but one thing ive learned from my experiences is that patience and discipline are the 2 biggest keys. Find out what u want to do and create a plan and just follow it without quiting.

The hard part tho of course is never getting off track and sacrificing fun to work.

I am (was, in-between jobs right now, unclear situation). I don't want to say the whole "It ain't about the money", because you do have to eat, live, pay rent, etc. Make no mistake, money is good to have. Pays your travels, restaurants, books, music, concerts, etc. So you def need that. But I make a comfortable living but feel deeply unsatisfied. There's a reason a lot of rich people end up depressed, stressed out, do heavy drugs, etc. Because once you actually make money i's like you HAVE to be happy with your situation, but you can be making money doing something totally uselss ("bullshyt jobs") or something you feel finally is not your "thing". Most people I know at my job are deeply unsatisfied, have burn-outs and whatnot. One coworker commited suicided last year for partially work-related reasons. It's badly seen socially to complain about a "good job", even if that "good job" is total bullshyt.

Make no mistake, it's a "nice" problem to have. But the thing is that as humans, we have the problems of ou situation. Meaning if you don't have money then money is your problem. But once you have money, you will have OTHER problems, and you might realize that you the most important is not how much money you get, but how you get it and how much time of your life you're spending to get it. Some people are cool with getting a check, going home, being cozy and not worrying more than that (not judging, actually these people tend to be the most balanced) but others (like myself) always thinking about WHAT they're doing in life, is it satisfying, could they be doing more, making a difference, having a meanigful job...etc.
